On March 13, 2010, the Anti-Domestic Violence Network affiliated to the China Law Society launched a press conference to share the project experience as well as publicize the survey results on battered women’s needs. The conference was conducted in two sessions—publicizing the survey report and summarizing the experience made in the project. The Jointly Advocated Project for the Assistance of Battered Women, by highlighting social gender equality, completed the survey report with joint efforts from its seven agencies in China’s different parts. Despite of the gap in the survey’s geographical extent, the result demonstrated the successful collaboration between different agencies.

The survey lasted one year and a half. It was designed to learn the needs of battered women so as to determine the gap in the service for battered women and provide more information to the Network and the seven collaborative agencies. It’s expected to provide evidence for the research and legislation of assistance provided to the battered women and improve the service to the victims. |
